Anadolu Ajansı said an Israeli drone struck an electric bike on Asdaa Street in Al-Mawasi west of Khan Younis, killing three and injuring 17, and that in northern Gaza a Palestinian was seriously injured when a drone hit the rooftop of a house near Abu Sharkh roundabout in Al-Faluja west of Jabalia refugee camp.

In central Gaza, SWI swissinfo.ch reported the Gaza Health Ministry said the Israeli army killed three Palestinians, including a child, in an airstrike around 9:30 a.m. local time in Deir al-Balah, while an Israeli military official confirmed the strike without further details.

SWI swissinfo.ch added that the Gaza Health Ministry said 12 Palestinians, eight men and four children, have been killed by Israeli gunfire since Saturday, and that Israel controls about 60 percent of Gaza.

Anadolu Ajansı said Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 1,053 Palestinians and injured 3,406 others since October 2025.

Children targeted, UN scrutiny

NBC News reported that Bahaa Abu al-Ajeen said Israeli soldiers fired “warning” shots after he and his 3-year-old son Rayan walked in what was designated as a safe area close to the “yellow line” in central Gaza.

NBC News quoted al-Ajeen saying, “At that moment, I did not know whether to move forward or backward,” and later quoted him saying, “I told them: ‘The child is dying. You killed him in cold blood,’” as he described being dragged beyond the yellow line while Rayan bled from his chest.

NBC News said a United Nations report alleged Israel deliberately targeted children, with the commission of inquiry concluding the acts “form part of a deliberate strategy to destroy the future of the Palestinians in Gaza by targeting their children.”

In response, the Israel Defense Forces told NBC News that troops identified “several Gazans approaching them” as they carried out activity in the yellow-line area on June 14 and that they “initiated standard suspect apprehension procedures, which included warning fire.”

West Bank rate and impunity

B’Tselem said that from 7 October 2023 to 28 June 2026, Israel killed 1,086 Palestinians in the West Bank, 241 of them children and teenagers, and that nearly one in every four Palestinians killed in that period was a minor.

B’Tselem Executive Director Yuli Novak said, “The widespread, unprecedented killing of Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank is the result of a broader Israeli policy that enables the killing of Palestinians with virtually no accountability.”

B’Tselem also said it was not aware of “a single indictment filed in Israel since October 2023” connected with killings of Palestinians in the West Bank, including cases where victims were children and teenagers.

B’Tselem linked the West Bank killings to Gaza, saying the killings “cannot be separated from Israel's killing of more than 21,000 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip,” and warned of a “serious risk” the lethal policy could expand to other areas under Israeli control, first the West Bank.
