Israeli Bulldozers Level Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya Lands, Settlers Attack Vehicles East of Ramallah

Israeli enemy bulldozers bulldozed lands and carved a settlement road on Monday in the lands of the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian local sources reported that enemy bulldozers leveled areas of citizens' lands belonging to Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya village, in favor of expansion works for the "Eli" settlement built on the town's lands.

In a related context, Zionist settlers attacked Palestinian citizens' vehicles with stones on Monday evening on the road connecting the towns of Silwad and Yabrud, east of Ramallah in the West Bank, endangering the lives of citizens.

Palestinian local sources told the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa" that groups of settlers gathered under the Yabrud bridge on the road leading to Silwad town and attacked passing vehicles with stones, causing a state of fear and panic among citizens using the road.

In the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron (Al-Khalil), around 30 Israeli settlers attacked the home of Palestinian resident Salem al-Hathalin, injuring six Palestinians, according to local sources.

The escalation came days after Israel’s political-security cabinet approved the establishment of 22 new settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described the decision as the beginning of a “settlement revolution,” adding that the policy would eventually extend beyond the occupied West Bank to the Naqab and Galilee.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces fired stun grenades during a raid on Issawiya and searched a home in Hizma, causing extensive damage.

Dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured last night as a series of Israeli airstrikes hit scattered areas in Gaza City, in a new escalation despite ongoing discussions about ceasefire understandings.

Local sources said Israeli warplanes struck a residential apartment inside the Al-Mu'taz building in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in western Gaza City, at the same time as they targeted a civilian car in the city center, resulting in a large number of casualties among the dead and wounded.

In the West Bank, a Palestinian Health Ministry announced the martyrdom of Nour al-Din Fayad (34) after he was shot by occupation forces in the Jenin camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said the attack targeted Az-Din Haddad, the commander of the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, in Gaza City, while noting that the attack targeted Haddad but did not confirm his death or announce the final results of the operation.
