Mawasi tents hit

Israeli forces struck the Mawasi area with a drone strike that targeted a section crowded with Palestinian displaced tents, leaving citizens injured including women and children, according to Cairo News Channel correspondent Bashir Jabr.

Jabr said Israeli military vehicles stationed near the Mawasi area opened heavy machine gun fire directly toward the tents of the Palestinian displaced, as the attack unfolded.

In Gaza City, Palestinian rescue services said Israeli strikes killed 11 people, including a couple and three of their children, despite the ceasefire reached in October 2025.

Mahmoud Bassal, a Civil Defense spokesperson, told AFP, "The only survivor of the family is a child, who was not in the home at the time of the strike," as Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed it had received the five bodies.

Competing claims

Franceinfo reported that Israel said it "targeted a terrorist" with a strike launched in Gaza City to "target a Hamas terrorist," while the IDF said it was evaluating the results of the operation.

The same Franceinfo account said Gaza's Civil Defense also reported three other people killed in an Israeli strike on a group of civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood, with the death toll confirmed by Al-Shifa Hospital.

Al Jazeera Net described a separate sequence of attacks since this morning, Monday, saying eight Palestinians were killed and more than twenty others were wounded by fire from Israeli occupation forces across areas from the north to the south of the territory.

Al Jazeera Net said an attack on Al Jalaa Street in Gaza City led to injuries to others, noting that children and women were the most affected by the strike, according to medical teams at Al Saraya Hospital of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and the Shifa Medical Complex.

Ceasefire toll rises

Franceinfo said at least 1,144 Palestinians have been killed in the enclave since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, according to the enclave's Health Ministry, whose figures are deemed reliable by the UN.

It also reported that Israel recorded five soldiers and one contractor working for the Defense Ministry killed in the Palestinian territory.

Sky News Arabia said two Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire east of Gaza, citing the Palestinian Information Center and quoting that "two martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Medical Complex this morning" after Israeli artillery shelling targeted Kashko Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

Al Jazeera Net added that medical teams continued to treat a number of the injured despite a sharp shortage of medical resources faced by the strip's hospitals, as the attacks affected densely populated areas far from the front lines.
