In a separate Israeli account, Israel National News said Hamas planted an explosive device under an IDF tank near the Yellow Line in the southern Gaza Strip, and it reported that no IDF injuries were reported.
“These incidents constitute violations of the ceasefire agreement”
Israel National News quoted an IDF spokesperson saying, "These incidents constitute violations of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF views them with the utmost severity," and it added that IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area to remove any immediate threat.
TRT World reported that Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir told former captive Rom Braslavski on his podcast that he would seek to allow Braslavski to personally take part if Palestinian prisoners are executed under Israel's recently enacted death penalty law.
TRT World included Ben-Gvir’s response: "I will turn the world upside down to make that happen," and it also quoted Ben-Gvir saying, "By the way, it is hanging. The punishment we passed there is execution by hanging."
In the same TRT World report, Ben-Gvir said during prison visits he used to see jam, chocolate, television, table tennis and meat, and he added, "Today, we face a completely different reality."
