Israeli Drone Strikes Kill Two Palestinians Near Gaza Water Station, Injure Others

Israeli drone strikes killed two Palestinians near a water distribution station in the al-Samer area east of Gaza City on Sunday, while several others were injured, according to Gaza Civil Defense and local sources cited by Wafa.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot dead a 16-year-old in Qalandia refugee camp, and a four-month-old infant died after being denied passage through a military checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ammar village, Palestinian sources said.

SANA said Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli attacks have killed 1,066 people and injured 3,445 others since the ceasefire took effect, and that the overall death toll since October 2023 has risen to 73,090 killed and 173,553 injured.

The same SANA account said Israeli forces fatally shot 16-year-old Walid Nidal Abu Sneineh in Qalandia refugee camp, and that two other minors aged 14 were wounded in the same incident.

In Gaza, TRT World also described the drone strike as another violation of the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025, with the attack occurring outside a water distribution point in the al-Samer area.

TRT World said that despite the truce, the Israeli military has continued daily strikes across Gaza, where shattered streets and ruined neighbourhoods remain trapped in a cycle of violence.

The TRT World report also said the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs reported that Israeli troops raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound through the Mughrabi Gate in occupied East Jerusalem 26 times during June.

In the same TRT World account, the ministry reported 4,212 illegal Israeli settlers entered the compound under police protection, and it documented settlers performing Talmudic rituals inside the compound, including "epic prostration," collective prostration, and public group prayers.

Middle East Eye framed the Gaza incident as an Israeli drone attack in the al-Samar area east of Gaza City that killed two Palestinians, citing Gaza’s ambulance and emergency services.

In that Middle East Eye account, a source from the service told Al Jazeera that "several others were wounded in the attack."

SANA reported that violence has escalated in the West Bank, which Israel has occupied since 1967, and said Israeli forces have killed at least 1,087 Palestinians in the West Bank since then, according to an AFP tally based on Palestinian Health Ministry data.

In Gaza, TRT World said Gaza’s Health Ministry added that Israel’s genocidal war, launched on October 7, 2023, has devastated nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and killed more than 73,000 Palestinians.

The AAPNews account described Israel and Hamas as deadlocked in indirect talks over implementing the second phase of the ceasefire deal, which includes the group’s disarmament and Israeli army withdrawals, and it said Hamas has accused Israel of violating the ceasefire.

AAPNews also reported that Nikolay Mladenov, US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace envoy to the Gaza Strip, said both parties have violated the agreement, while Israel repeatedly carried out strikes on the Gaza Strip since a US-mediated ceasefire with Hamas was reached in October last year.

In the same AAPNews report, a lawyer for prominent Palestinian hospital director Hussam Abu Safiya said his client has been abused in captivity and is in critical condition, and it quoted the Israel Prison Service rejecting the allegations as "false and entirely without factual basis."
