Israeli forces arrested a child and injured another with live ammunition during clashes in Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to Anadolu Ajansı, with local sources saying the fighting erupted in the Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron.

Anadolu Ajansı reported that Israeli forces fired live rounds at residents, injuring a child who was taken to hospital for treatment with medical teams describing the injury as minor.

In the same context, Anadolu Ajansı said Palestinians were injured by asphyxia from inhaling tear gas released by an Israeli force during its raid into the town of Idhna, west of Hebron.

Anadolu Ajansı also said Israeli forces raided the Abu Jahisha family’s diwan in Idhna and detained several youths.

Anadolu Ajansı added that since October 2023, assaults by the army and settlers in the West Bank have killed at least 1,154 Palestinians and injured about 11,750, alongside the detention of around 22,000, according to official Palestinian data.

The Arab-language outlet التلفزيون العربي said Israeli forces also warned of demolition in Hebron, reporting that occupation forces notified the demolition of five homes and a sheep pen.

In a separate incident described by France 24, Israeli security forces opened fire on a car at a checkpoint in the village of Tammoun, killing Ali Khaled Bani Odeh and his wife Waad and their children Mohammad and Othman, aged five and seven.

France 24 reported that Reuters quoted Khaled, 12, saying, "We were shot at directly; we did not know where it came from. Everyone in the car was martyred, except my brother Mustafa and me," describing what he said happened after the shooting.

France 24 also said the Israeli army and police stated the events occurred during a joint operation by border police and soldiers trying "to arrest people suspected of being involved in terrorist activities against the security forces".

Agence Media Palestine reported that UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said at a press conference that more than 37,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced over the past year, largely due to Israeli military operations conducted in refugee camps.

Agence Media Palestine said OCHA also reports more than 1,800 Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the north of the West Bank, equivalent to five attacks per day, and warned that the attacks caused casualties and damage in about 280 communities.
