Israeli Forces Kill At Least Seven Palestinians, Including A Child, Across Gaza
Key Takeaways
- Israeli airstrikes across Gaza killed Palestinians, including a child.
- Khan Younis Mawasi and western Gaza City were among the affected areas.
- Ceasefire violations persist amid Gaza clashes, with casualties reported by several outlets.
Ceasefire hit again
Israeli forces killed at least seven Palestinians, including a child, and wounded dozens more across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, as the attacks continued despite a ceasefire that came into effect in October 2025.
“Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed 13 people on what was one of the deadliest days since the October ceasefire”
Medical sources said three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and three others injured after an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle near Barcelona Park in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood.

In southern Gaza, Nasser Medical Complex received the body of another Palestinian along with nine wounded civilians after Israeli forces opened fire on the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, a location repeatedly designated as a so-called “safe zone” by the Israeli military.
Another Israeli drone strike targeted a gathering of civilians in the Jorat al-Aqqad area of central Khan Younis, killing one Palestinian and injuring three others, according to medical officials.
The article also said Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli ceasefire violations have killed at least 1,072 Palestinians and injured 3,463 others since the truce took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.
Numbers diverge, blame traded
While multiple outlets described Tuesday’s strikes as continuing “ceasefire” violations, they differed on the scale of the toll, with The National saying Israel’s military killed at least four Palestinians in Gaza on Tuesday.
The National reported that the Israeli military told Reuters the strikes had targeted members of Hamas, with which it reached a US-mediated ceasefire agreement in October last year.

In contrast, Muslim Network TV said the attacks included an Israeli drone bombed a tent sheltering displaced families near Gaza City’s port that killed a 46-year-old Palestinian and wounded several others.
The National also said Nikolay Mladenov, representative of the Board of Peace set up under US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, has said both sides have violated the agreement.
In the same dispute over responsibility, Muslim Network TV said Israel has continued near-daily attacks through drone strikes, shelling and military incursions despite the ceasefire agreement.
Governance shifts, violence persists
Beyond the day-to-day attacks, Hamas announced it was dissolving its governing authority in Gaza after almost two decades in power, paving the way for a Palestinian committee of technocrats to take over administration of the territory in accordance with Mr Trump's plan.
“Israeli air attacks on the Gaza Strip have killed at least six Palestinians and wounded more than 20, according to medical sources, as casualties continue to rise in the territory despite a “ceasefire” declared months ago”
The National said Hamas’s move came as Israeli troops now occupy nearly 70 per cent of Gaza after advancing beyond the ceasefire line that had divided the territory between Israeli and Hamas control.
Democracy Now! reported that Hamas’s head of administration, Mohammed al-Farra, resigned from his position on Monday, and that the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, NCAG, was formed in January 2026 to take transitional control.
Amjad Iraqi, senior Israel-Palestine analyst at the International Crisis Group, said, “In practice, Hamas is still the de facto governing authority on the Palestinian-populated side of Gaza.”
Democracy Now! also said Israel has continued to uphold its blockade of Gaza and violated the deal’s ceasefire provisions on a near-daily basis, killing nearly 1,100 Palestinians, including women, children and other unarmed civilians.
