Anadolu Ajansı reported that Israeli forces and settlers were deployed densely in the alleys of the Old City, blocked residents from moving about, and detained several of them, as well as detaining vehicles.
Anadolu Ajansı also said Israeli forces forced shop owners to close their doors, while settlers climbed onto the roofs of several old houses and spread across the town.
Earlier in the day, human rights activist Aref Jaber told Anadolu Ajansı that a Palestinian man was subjected to beating and mistreatment by the Israeli army in the city center, before being transported by an Israeli ambulance after his release.
Rashayda shooting and injuries
In Cisjordanie occupée, five Palestinians were wounded on Saturday in a new attack led by settlers, according to Radio-Canada, which cited Palestinian sources and said the Israeli army reported a « violente altercation » in which an Israeli civilian was also injured.
Radio-Canada reported that a group of settlers attacked residents in the zone of Rashayda, near the village of Kisan, by firing live rounds.

The report added that, according to the mayor Musa Abayat, five Palestinians were injured, including two by bullets, and that the settlers also stole a hundred sheep.
Radio-Canada said the attackers used firearms, bladed weapons and stones, and that soldiers intervened but “avaient simplement arrêté plusieurs des blessés.”

WAFA said that in Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, Israeli settlers violently assaulted two Palestinian citizens at dawn this Friday and stole nearly 150 head of livestock during an attack on a farm in the town.
