Strikes across southern Lebanon
Israeli warplanes and drones carried out air raids and bombings across southern Lebanon, including Ali Al-Taher area, Al-Dabsheh, Kfar Roumman and Zawtar Al-Sharqiyeh, while heavy bombings hit Kfartebnit and Al-Mansouri towns, according to ABNA English.

In Nabatieh district, Al Jazeera reported that an Israeli strike killed a Lebanese woman in the town of Arab Salim and injured several other people, after Israel said attacks came following Hezbollah launching two drones at Israeli troops.
Al Jazeera also reported that an Israeli air strike on the Lebanese town of Kfar Reman killed three people and injured at least 23, citing the Ministry of Public Health, as Israeli forces intensified attacks on southern Lebanon.
In a separate report, Al-Arabiya said Israeli Air Force strikes early Sunday killed four people, with the Lebanese Health Ministry reporting two deaths in Nabatieh al-Foqa and two women killed in Arzaalīm, while 20 others were injured in several areas including women and three children.
Claims, denials, and escalation
Al Jazeera said Israel issued forced displacement orders for a building in Arab Salim before an air attack, and Lebanon’s National News Agency reported two women were killed and six people wounded after Israeli forces issued the order.
Israel said the strikes came in response to Hezbollah launching two drones towards its forces in southern Lebanon, describing the attack as a “blatant violation” by the Lebanese armed group, according to Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera reported that Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz claimed the military had cleared Hezbollah fighters embedded in tunnels under the strategic ridge, while Hezbollah did not confirm losing control of the area.
Al Jazeera further said Israeli forces said they intercepted a Hezbollah drone beyond the “Yellow Line,” an area Israel has claimed as a “security zone,” and that the military said it would strike southern Lebanon in response.
What comes next
Al Jazeera reported that since March 2, when the latest Israeli escalation in its war on Lebanon began, Israeli attacks have killed more than 4,000 people and injured at least 12,000 others, while forcing more than one million people from their homes, according to Lebanese authorities.

Al Jazeera said Israeli forces are still operating inside a self-declared “security zone” about 10km (six miles) deep inside Lebanon, and that Israel is considering pulling its troops occupying Lebanese territory closer to the Israeli border.
Al Jazeera reported that Israeli public broadcaster Kan, citing security sources, said the military was preparing to scale back its presence and reposition three to four kilometres closer to the Israeli border along a new “Grey Line,” while the plan had not been approved by Israel’s political leadership.
In a separate development, Al-Del e Al-Arabiya reported that UN humanitarian affairs coordinator for Lebanon, Othman Raad, expressed via X after visiting the area that families returning to Nabatieh during the ceasefire period “face widespread destruction, a lack of basic services, and ongoing insecurity.”
