Dallaglio sells World Cup medal
Lawrence Dallaglio, the former England captain, is set to sell his 2003 Rugby World Cup winner's medal after being declared bankrupt.

Budd's will hold the auction in Northamptonshire on 13 October, and the World Cup medal is expected to raise between £50,000 and £80,000.
Dallaglio has put other items from his career up for auction, including medals, trophies and caps, with the collection carrying an estimated value of £180,000.
Dallaglio said on The High Performance podcast that, "As a result of getting divorced, I was made bankrupt. "I had some financial problems - I could've done things a lot better."
Debt, divorce, and therapy
Dallaglio tied his bankruptcy to his divorce, and he described seeking therapy after the divorce and bankruptcy left him wallowing in "self-pity". Dallaglio also told the podcast, "I was in a very bad patch and I pitied myself," as he discussed the difficult period that followed his financial collapse.
The EasternEye account said Dallaglio was declared bankrupt after his divorce and that his bankruptcy terms were extended after a High Court application, with his discharge suspended. The Planet Rugby account said Budds listed the medal as lot 90 and quoted Budds describing it as "the pinnacle of world rugby and the singular greatest achievement in English rugby history."

Budd's will auction a collection that includes Dallaglio's 2007 World Cup runners-up medal, his 2003 Six Nations winner's medal, and items from his Wasps career. The EasternEye account said Dallaglio's 2007 World Cup runners-up medal is estimated at £10,000 and his 2003 Six Nations winner's medal is estimated at £5,000.
The BBC account said Dallaglio is also selling a British and Irish Lions cap and his 1993 World Cup Sevens winner's medal alongside his 2003 Six Nations Championship winner's medal. The Le Figaro account said the auction total could reach €210,000 and that Dallaglio would part with his 2003 World Champion medal, estimated between €58,000 and €93,000, as well as the one from the 2007 World Cup final lost to South Africa, estimated at around €11,500.
