Pezeshkian emphasized the armed forces’ strategic role in safeguarding national security and strengthening Iran’s deterrence capabilities amid ongoing regional tensions, and he said the Iranian Army had demonstrated high operational readiness, command coordination, and combat capability during recent threats and regional developments.

In the same meeting, Major General Hatami presented a report on the army’s latest operational and defensive measures and said various military units remain fully prepared across multiple operational sectors.

Hatami added that the Iranian Army has used the ceasefire period to restore and enhance combat readiness, improve inter-force coordination, and upgrade military and logistical capabilities, while also stating the armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any threat or hostile action against the country.

WANA News Agency reported Pezeshkian also highlighted coordination between government institutions and the armed forces, describing national unity and defense preparedness as key pillars of the country’s security and stability against external threats and hybrid warfare.

IRNA English reported that President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with Major General Amir Hatami on Thursday, emphasized his administration’s full support for strengthening the defensive capabilities and enhancing the combat readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Pezeshkian appreciated the bravery, sacrifices, and powerful performance of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the Army in confronting the aggressions and invasions of the United States and the Israeli regime, and he praised the “decisive, intelligent, and deterrent responses” of the Armed Forces to hostile actions.

IRNA quoted Pezeshkian saying, “Today, national cohesion, defensive readiness, and maintaining the authority of the Armed Forces are the most important pillars of the country’s security, stability, and calm in the face of threats and the hybrid warfare of the enemies”.

Hatami briefed the process of regeneration, recovery, and enhancement of the combat capability of units during the ceasefire period, noting that the army is fully prepared to deliver a decisive, regret-inducing, and fitting response worthy of the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran against any threat, aggression, or adventurous act.
