Khamenei’s Unity Message
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for unifying ranks within the Muslim world in a message tied to the Week of Unity and the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, framing solidarity as a way to address “political and security challenges facing the region.”

Khamenei also stressed that cooperation among Islamic countries and peoples should be based on “goodness, benevolence, and shared interest,” and warned against moves that could provoke divisions within Islamic communities.
In the same message, he called for strengthening unity within Iran itself, urging officials and Iranian citizens to set aside differences to preserve social cohesion under “political, economic, and military pressures facing the country.”
Hormuz and Gulf Tensions
Separately, Al Jazeera reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei urged Gulf leaders to identify their “real enemy” and confront it, as Tehran maintained its hard line over the Strait of Hormuz.
Al Jazeera said Khamenei’s message was published on Sunday to mark the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, and noted that he “has not appeared publicly since the US-Israeli attacks on February 28 that killed his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”
The same Al Jazeera report quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi saying, “The Strait of Hormuz is closed,” and added that any vessel seeking to cross would have to coordinate with Iran.
Al Jazeera also cited the International Maritime Organization saying that “up to 400 ships carrying about 6,000 seafarers have been unable to leave the Gulf safely” since the US-Israel war on Iran began.
Escalation Fears in West Bank
While Khamenei’s unity message emphasized confronting external enemies, Al-Manar TV Lebanon cited “Israel Hayom” reporting growing concerns that some members of the Israeli government may be seeking escalation in the occupied West Bank for political reasons.

In parallel, Al Jazeera’s coverage of Gaza described an Israeli strike near a bakery in Deir el-Balah that killed two Palestinians including a 3-year-old child, and said Hamas did not immediately comment on the strike.
