A BBC report described a case in Bihar where a 28-year-old mother of four children, called Soma, said she was attacked in her own home and gang-raped by a group of men on the night of 11 June in a village in Begusarai.
Begusarai superintendent of police Maneesh told the BBC that Soma’s “medical report has confirmed sexual assault,” and said “There are three named and two unidentified accused in this case.”

The BBC said Soma told it that five men barged in while she was in the toilet outside her one-room home, and she said, “They stripped me, gagged me, and tied my hands.”
The BBC also reported that the police station head Rajiv Kumar was suspended for “negligence, apathy, and insensitivity,” and that an FIR was registered on 13 June.
