Netanyahu Says Israeli-US War On Iran Saved Israel From Nuclear Annihilation

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the “Israeli”-US war on Iran saved Israel from the threat of “nuclear annihilation,” calling it “the most important thing” in his first comments after Washington and Tehran agreed to a deal to end the Middle East war.

Roya News also reported Netanyahu’s framing that the American-Israeli attack on Iran spared Israel the danger of nuclear annihilation and that “whether or not an agreement with Iran is reached, Iran will not possess nuclear weapons.”

Roya News further said Netanyahu estimated Iran’s losses from the latest war against it at about one trillion dollars and said the Israeli army will remain in the buffer security zone in Lebanon.

Al-Jazeera Net reported Netanyahu said he “sometimes disagree[s] with Trump,” while also arguing that the agreement between the United States and Iran to stop the fighting is a decision that concerns U.S. President Donald Trump.

In that same press conference coverage, Al-Jazeera Net quoted Netanyahu saying, “We are partners, we agree a lot, but we differ in opinion sometimes,” and it also said he insisted on Israel’s “security interests” in his relationship with Trump and the United States.
