The Tech Buzz says Oura is reportedly edging toward an initial public offering, describing it as a milestone that would make it one of the first pure-play wearable makers to test the public markets in this cycle.

Renaissance Capital’s IPO weekly recap said Oura (OURA) filed for an IPO estimated to raise $2.5 billion, calling it a rare high-growth consumer tech IPO.

SGB Media Online reported Ōura Health Oy is seeking to raise up to $3 billion and that the company filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 3.

TradingView said Oura filed for an initial public offering on the Nasdaq and that the filing date was September 03, 2026, with the ticker “OURA.”

Numbers and subscription model

The 조선일보 account said Oura targets a Nasdaq IPO with a valuation exceeding $11 billion, and it reported that the company raised $900 million from investors last year.

It also said Oura’s subscription revenue for the nine months ending June reached $240.5 million, a 121% year-on-year jump, and that the subscription segment’s gross profit margin hit 89%.

The Tech Buzz framed Oura’s subscription model as a key differentiator, saying Oura charges a monthly fee on top of the ring itself to unlock full data insights.

SGB Media Online quoted Oura’s business model language, writing: "We operate an integrated hardware-plus-software subscription business model designed to efficiently acquire members."

TradingView added that Oura’s revenue for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 was $1,214.5 million and that net income was $60.8 million for the same period.

Competitors rush in

As Oura’s IPO filing drew attention, The Tech Buzz described rivals including Ultrahuman and RingConn as sharpening their pitches to pry away Oura’s crown before Wall Street even gets a look at it.

TechCrunch said Oura officially filed to go public on September 3 and reported that the company sold 3.6 million rings over the past year and has around 5 million paid members.

The Tech Buzz said Ultrahuman and RingConn have made a point of skipping the subscription entirely, contrasting with Oura’s subscription model that charges a monthly fee to unlock full data insights.

TechCrunch reported that Ultrahuman raised $70 million with backing from Qualcomm’s venture arm as it looks to build a ring that it says will be able to run software directly on the device.

Renaissance Capital’s recap placed Oura’s filing alongside other IPO activity, noting that SB Energy (SBE) filed for an IPO we estimate could raise $5 billion and that Accelevation (ACCV) filed for an estimated $800 million deal.
