CNN reported that Russia pounded Kyiv with missiles and drones on Tuesday morning, killing three people and wounding 16, and it cited Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi for the figures.

In a statement, Russia’s Defense Ministry said it launched “a massive strike using ground and air-based precision-guided weapons and attack drones,” targeting “facilities belonging to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, logistics and warehousing centres.”

CNN said Zelensky wrote on X that the attack caused “significant damage to residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure in the capital,” and it described people being rescued after being trapped in a five-story residential block in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi district.

The Kyiv Independent said explosions rang out in the capital at around 3:30 a.m. local time, and it reported that at around 4:14 a.m. TKyiv Independent journalist Yevgeniya Doluda reported up to six explosions in rapid succession.T
