Regional spillover and risk

Saudi Arabia strengthened its defenses as bombardments against Houthi positions south of Taiz in the Al Maafer district coincided with new drone interceptions in Saudi Arabia. The coalition led by Riyadh announced the destruction of four aircraft over the Eastern Province, a region described as strategic for the global oil industry.

The La Vanguardia account said the Houthis claimed responsibility for attacks on the Ministry of Defense, the Yanbu refinery, and several airports in Saudi Arabia, and it described four high-level military operations over the last 48 hours using ballistic missiles and drones.
