Saudi F-15s And Typhoons Launch 64 Airstrikes Across Yemen’s Taiz, Hodeidah, Marib, Al-Jawf

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said Saudi F-15s and Typhoons launched from the King Fahd base in Taif and the King Khalid base in Khamis Mushait carried out 64 airstrikes over the past 24 hours across Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, Marib, and Al-Jawf.

Saree added that Yemeni forces repelled a combat formation in Taiz Governorate by targeting it with several locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles, forcing it to withdraw.

In a separate account, Nasruddin Amer, a spokesperson for the Houthis, wrote on X that forces backed by Saudi Arabia launched 32 airstrikes overnight in Taiz, Hodeidah, Jawf, and Marib.

Shafaq News said the Houthi-run armed forces reported 64 airstrikes across Taiz, Hodeidah, Marib and Al-Jawf over the past 24 hours, with F-15 and Typhoon jets flying from King Fahd and King Khalid bases.

Shafaq News also reported that the Houthis said they had driven off a formation of aircraft over Taiz with locally made surface-to-air missiles, while Saudi Arabia had not commented on the figures.

The UN’s Yemen envoy, Hans Grundberg, said the Houthis’ missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia “threaten to widen the conflict, put civilians at grave risk, and undermine efforts toward a political solution.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry urged the Iran-backed group “to immediately end its aggressive actions” in a statement issued late Tuesday.

In the same reporting stream, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen said the internationally recognized government has the right to defend its population and to “end the Houthis’ capacity to instill terror,” and it posted that “The Houthis started this conflict and must bear the consequences of their aggression.”

Shafaq News quoted Colonel Majid al-Nazili of government forces warning that troops would use “all weapons” against any Houthi movement within an area he described as a “kill zone.”

In a separate report, naiz said the Houthis took control of Zuqar Island on Thursday in the Hanish archipelago, covering about 130 square kilometers and located roughly 90 kilometers southwest of Al Hudaydah near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
