$25M round and valuation

Scimplify raised 25 million dollars in an all-equity funding round led by Hitachi Ventures to expand its AI-powered production of specialty chemicals and critical materials outside China. Scimplify’s valuation rose to 250 million dollars after the investment, up from 150 million after a prior round of 40 million dollars in March 2025.

TechCrunch reported that the round values the Bengaluru-based startup at $250 million after the investment, up from $150 million after a $40 million Series B round in March 2025. Scimplify planned to allocate around 7.5 million dollars to expansion in the United States and another 2 million for the ongoing development of its Scinode platform.

Revenue growth and markets

Scimplify said its annualized revenue run rate reached 200 million dollars, tripling from a year earlier, with co-founder Sachin Santhosh describing a shift from receiving requirements to delivering finished material in just two months. Santhosh told TechCrunch that the U.S. annualized revenue run rate rose sixfold to about $60 million from $10 million a year ago, and he said the U.S. market now accounts for roughly 30% of its business.

Scimplify said it has delivered products to more than 40 countries and serves more than 1,000 customers, while it employs about 340 people including 70 scientists. TechCrunch reported that Scimplify’s in-house team oversees production across a network of more than 500 manufacturing facilities, and it said about 90% of its manufacturing currently takes place in India.

AI platform, expansion, and plans

Scimplify said its proprietary AI platform, Scinode, helps coordinate work by identifying suitable production routes and manufacturing facilities while tracking quality and regulatory requirements. Santhosh told TechCrunch that Scinode uses specialized AI agents for different functions, including research, manufacturing, and quality control, and he said, "This helps us move a lot faster and remember customer context even for future references."

Scimplify said it plans to expand its production network to the U.S. and Japan over the next year, and it said it is working on producing tungsten derivatives from scrap and on rare-earth materials. Scimplify also said it has been EBITDA-positive for the past two months and expects to turn profitable after tax this month, while it targeted a $400 million annualized revenue run rate over the next year.
