Amora Station Assault Repelled
The Sudanese army said it repelled an attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces in coordination with the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/North on Amora Station in Blue Nile State, in the southeast of Sudan.
The Anadolu Ajansı report said troops of Brigade 13 of the 4th Infantry Division managed to repel the attack on Amora Station in Qisan Province near the border with Ethiopia, and that the army destroyed the enemy and captured four combat vehicles fit for operation.

İlke Haber Ajansı reported that the Sudanese army repelled an attack by the Rapid Support Forces targeting the strategically important al-Berke area in Blue Nile State, with clashes near the town of al-Kurmuk resulting in heavy losses for RSF fighters.
The Anadolu Ajansı account also said the RSF did not issue any comment as of 15:50 GMT, while the İlke Haber Ajansı piece said RSF had not issued an official response to the claims at the time of reporting.
The fighting described across the reports is part of escalating clashes in Blue Nile State involving the Sudanese army, the RSF, and forces linked to the Sudan People's Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N).
Voices, Claims, and UN Warning
While the Sudanese army framed the Amora Station fighting as a repelled assault, the Anadolu Ajansı report said the 4th Infantry Division stated its forces “managed to crush the attack targeting Amora Station and repel it with bravery and competence.”
The التلفزيون العربي report added that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk warned last Monday that the widening scope of violence and the intensification of drone use in Sudan could lead to higher casualties and displacement.

The same التلفزيون العربي account cited UN data that “Drone strikes account for 80% of total civilian deaths tied to the conflict,” and said at least 880 people were killed between January and April of this year.
İlke Haber Ajansı reported that the Freedom and Change Alliance, part of the Sudan Democratic Bloc, rejected dialogue with the “Founding Alliance,” which it accuses of functioning as the political arm of the RSF.
The reports also described how the conflict has displaced thousands of civilians from areas and towns across Blue Nile State, as the army and RSF fight alongside SPLM-N forces.
What’s at Risk Next
The reports place the immediate military stakes on strategic sites in Blue Nile State near Ethiopia, with the Anadolu Ajansı account describing Amora Station as a strategic area that has recently gained increasing importance due to its vital location as a military operations area.
The İlke Haber Ajansı report said al-Berke is located near the Ethiopian border and is considered strategically significant due to its position along supply and transportation routes linking several contested areas.
The التلفزيون العربي report linked the escalation to broader humanitarian risk, saying Türk stressed that the escalation of violence could hinder the delivery of essential humanitarian aid, at a time when large parts of the country, including Kordofan, face famine and severe food insecurity.
Separately, Al-Jazeera Net reported that the Sudanese army announced it repelled an attack on the strategic Baraka area on the outskirts of Kurmuk in Blue Nile state, and said its forces inflicted heavy losses on a “rebel militia,” including neutralizing dozens of its fighters.
Across the accounts, the conflict’s scale is repeatedly tied to the war since April 2023, with the İlke Haber Ajansı report saying it has created one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises, with tens of thousands killed and nearly 13 million people displaced.
