Eid violence in Kordofan
A Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attack on villages west of Bara in North Kordofan’s Azhaf area killed at least 58 people, after residents discovered the bodies of 27 missing people on Saturday, according to local authorities.
“General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan stated that 'the Sudanese government will provide all that is necessary for the success of this dialogue”
The victims disappeared during the attack on the villages of El Marra, Umm Saadoun El Sharif and El Rada on the second day of Eid El Adha, and were later found dead, while local sources said RSF fighters launched the assault on Thursday using around 20 combat vehicles.

The Sudan Doctors Network confirmed the attack and said RSF forces targeted civilian villages west of Bara, with spokesperson Tasneem El Amin telling Radio Dabanga that the villages contained no military presence.
In a separate strike in West Kordofan, the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees), the Emergency Lawyers group and the National Umma Party condemned a drone strike on two civilian vehicles travelling on the Abu Zabad-El Fula road on Saturday, saying it killed ten civilians including eight children and two women.
Condemnations and dialogue
Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the RSF attack, describing it as part of a continuing pattern of violations against civilians and accusing the RSF of targeting unarmed citizens.
In the same context, the ministry appealed to the United Nations, African Union and international human rights organisations to hold those responsible accountable and strengthen civilian protection, while the National Umma Party renewed its call for all armed actors to withdraw from populated areas and comply with international humanitarian law.

On Eid al-Adha, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan said the Sudanese government will provide all that is necessary for the success of this dialogue, announcing preparations for an inclusive political dialogue while both camps massed troops in anticipation of a new escalation in Kordofan and along the Blue Nile.
Agenzia Nova reported that al-Burhan limited participation to those he described as 'bearers of suffering' and rejected conferences and dialogues in foreign capitals, while Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo’s speech focused on building a new army to replace the Sudanese Armed Forces and restore the state through what he called a 'government of peace.'
Drone strikes, displacement, and risk
Beyond the village attack, multiple sources described drone strikes killing civilians in Kordofan, including a Saturday drone airstrike on an area housing displaced people in the Kadam area of West Kordofan that the Emergency Lawyers group said killed 10 people including eight children and two women.
“At least 28 people were killed yesterday in a drone attack on a market in the Sodari locality, controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Kordofan, central Sudan, according to Monday statements by the NGO Emergency Lawyers, an independent group that documents the Sudanese conflict”
The Emergency Lawyers group said the victims had fled from the Abu Karshula area in South Kordofan to Kadam in search of safety before they were targeted at their displacement site, and it confirmed the attack occurred in a civilian area with no military operations and no visible military presence.
In North Kordofan, a tribal leader told AFP that 57 people were killed in a drone attack on Friday on the village of Al-Murra, in an area contested by the army and the RSF, and the International Organization for Migration said 160 people were displaced from the village of Al-Murra on Thursday due to increasing insecurity.
As fighting continued, TRT Français reported that Turkey condemned a drone attack against a United Nations base in Sudan that killed six Bangladeshi peacekeepers and wounded eight others, while France 24 reported that the Rapid Support Forces announced the release of '100 prisoners of war' on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
