West Bank raids intensify
Israeli enemy forces raided the villages of Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah, and Al-Mughayyir, northeast of the city, in the West Bank on Saturday evening, according to Palestinian security sources cited by Wafa.

The same Saba report said the forces stormed the two villages and deployed throughout them, while adding that no arrests or raids were reported and that no injuries were reported earlier that evening when Zionist settlers attacked the outskirts of Al-Mughayyir.
In Al-Mughayyir, a 17-year-old Palestinian, Fadi Hamdallah al-Naasan, died early Saturday after being shot in the thigh with live ammunition during an Israeli military and settler attack on July 11, with a 10-year-old, Raed Ouda Abu Aliya, also injured by a sound grenade.
WAFA later reported that dozens of Palestinians suffered from asphyxiation on Sunday evening during an Israeli military raid on Al-Mughayyir, after Israeli forces fired dozens of tear gas canisters at the mourning tent for Fadi Na'san.
Al Jazeera said Fadi Hamdallah al-Nassan, 17, was shot on July 11 and died on Saturday, and it described his death as drawing new attention to escalating violence by Israeli settlers and soldiers against Palestinian communities across the West Bank.

Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, said Fadi Naasan had been struck in the thigh by an explosive bullet during an Israeli raid on the village about a week earlier, and he described the July 11 attack on the home of Mohammed Hamed Abu Aliya.
WAFA quoted Amin Abu Aliya, head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, saying Israeli forces stormed the village and fired dozens of tear gas canisters at the mourning tent for Fadi Naasan, causing dozens of residents to suffer from tear gas inhalation.
Al Jazeera reported that Fadi’s father, Hamdallah al-Nassan, said, "He went to the scene of the attack and was killed," while his mother, Hanan al-Nassan, said, "Everyone loved him."
The Palestine Chronicle described Israeli forces sealing the western entrance to al-Mughayyir ahead of the funeral procession and said troops blocked the only remaining access road into the village, preventing residents from entering or leaving.
Al Jazeera also reported that the Palestine Football Association said Israeli forces shot al-Nassan in the thigh while settlers were attacking the village, and it said his leg was later amputated before he died from the injuries.

Saba framed the raids within a broader escalation in the West Bank since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, saying the Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements documented 11,074 attacks perpetrated by Israeli forces and settlers during the first half of 2026.

In that same Saba account, settlers carried out 3,488 of those attacks while Israeli forces carried out 7,586, and it presented the figures as part of a marked escalation in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers.
WAFA said the tear gas canisters were fired at the mourning tent erected in tribute to the martyr Fadi Na'san, and it reported that the 17-year-old was killed early Saturday morning and succumbed to injuries sustained about a week earlier.
Al Jazeera reported that rights groups and the United Nations have described Israel’s actions in the West Bank as a system of apartheid, and it linked Fadi’s death to escalating violence carried out by Israeli settlers and soldiers against Palestinian communities.
The Palestine Chronicle added that Israeli forces sealed the western entrance ahead of the funeral procession and that the eastern entrance has remained closed for the past four years, while it also described additional raids and restrictions across the occupied West Bank overnight.
