Incursions in Daraa
Syria condemned Israeli incursions and bombardment in the country’s south on Monday, a day after Israeli forces advanced into the village of Abidin in the Yarmuk Basin area of Daraa province.

France 24 reported that tensions rose on Sunday in Abidin after Israeli forces advanced into the area and angry residents tried to block the road with stones to stop the patrol.

The Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement that "the Israeli attacks represented by incursions into Syrian territory in Quneitra and Daraa provinces" and "the targeting of the region with artillery shelling" amounted to a "blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity".
France 24 also cited a local official in Abidin, Mahmud Mowaffaq, who told AFP that residents had "blocked a road for an Israeli patrol" and then fled during the night because of shelling near homes before returning on Monday morning.
Türkiye and IDF responses
Türkiye condemned the strikes in southern Syria as violations of international law and Syria’s sovereignty, with the Turkish Foreign Ministry saying it "strongly condemn[s] Israel's attacks on Quneitra and Daraa" as contrary to Syria’s territorial integrity, unity and sovereignty.
Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry also said the attacks "constitute a clear violation of international law and the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement of Forces," and urged the international community to fulfill its responsibility to ensure an end to the attacks.

In parallel, The Times of Israel said Israeli troops stationed in southern Syria came under fire late Sunday night and that the IDF retaliated by returning fire and launching mortars, with a helicopter strike in an open area.
The Times of Israel added that Syria’s foreign ministry, in a statement published by SANA, "condemned in the strongest terms" the two nighttime incidents and warned that Israel’s "aggressive practices" were undermining Syria’s progress in "consolidating security and stability".
Pattern, displacement, and risk
Al Jazeera described Israeli forces shelling a village in southern Syria overnight with artillery and illumination flares, saying Syrian state media described the attack as causing panic among residents which prompted families to flee to nearby towns.
Mehr News Agency said Syrian Civil Defence forces mobilized after Israel’s attacks on the village of Abdeen in the Deraa countryside, with Ahmed al-Hajer saying Israeli forces fired artillery shells and targeted the village and its surroundings with machine guns from a helicopter.
Mehr News Agency reported that al-Hajer said the bombardment did not result in casualties or material damage, but caused panic among residents and prompted what he described as “a limited displacement movement to neighbouring towns,” before residents returned to the village.
In the same broader context of repeated activity in southern Syria, France 24 reported that the Israeli military has conducted at least 70 incursions into southern Syria this month alone, according to the local NGO Sijil, and that Sijil said Israeli forces have carried out around 300 operations or "violations" in Daraa and Quneitra provinces this month alone.
