Omitted After Everton Talks
Tottenham left Richarlison out of their Premier League squad after the Brazil forward asked to leave and a proposed return to Everton fell through before the Tuesday transfer deadline.

The BBC said Spurs manager Roberto de Zerbi explained that Richarlison was not included in the squad to play in top-flight games for the first half of the season, and that he was expected to leave in the coming days with the transfer windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia still open.
De Zerbi also pointed to Richarlison’s repeated desire to depart after Spurs lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United on Saturday, with the BBC quoting him as saying: "Richarlison, I don't know. He said too many times he wants to leave."
The BBC added that Richarlison replaced him against Newcastle after Spurs recently signed Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush on loan, and that Richarlison had been Tottenham’s top scorer in the league last season with 11 goals in 32 appearances.
RTL Today reported that Richarlison may have played his last match for Tottenham after he was left out of the club's 25-man Premier League squad list on Thursday, following the 2-0 defeat by Newcastle.
Player’s Message and De Zerbi
RTL Today said Richarlison released an incendiary social media post on Monday claiming "never again will anyone decide my future for me" as talks over a potential return to Everton stalled before the Tuesday 11:00 pm (2200 GMT) deadline in England.
After the Newcastle game, De Zerbi insisted Richarlison had "said too many times he wants to leave" and could bid farewell to the London club before the summer transfer window closed, according to RTL Today.
The Independent likewise described Tottenham’s decision to omit Richarlison from their Premier League squad as coming after proposed talks over a return to Everton broke down, and it quoted Richarlison writing: “never again will anyone decide my future for me”.
The Independent also said the Tottenham hierarchy informed Richarlison of the decision to omit him from the squad before Tuesday’s Premier League transfer window deadline, while reporting that Turkish side Trabzonspor intended to make a formal approach.
BBC coverage added that De Zerbi had earlier said it was "not easy to find another striker like Richarlison" when discussing the Brazilian’s uncertain future.
Turkey Window and Squad Limits
With the English transfer window closed on Tuesday night, multiple outlets said Richarlison could still leave Tottenham for a Turkish or Saudi club because transfer windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia remained open.

The Guardian reported that Richarlison is the subject of firm interest from Trabzonspor and could move there before the closure of the transfer window in Turkey on Friday night, and it said De Zerbi did not stand in the way of other players who asked to leave before the deadline in England.
The Guardian also said Richarlison has one year on his contract with the option of an extra year, and it noted that Spurs have 18 senior non-homegrown players on their books including Richarlison—one more than the number permitted in a Premier League squad.
Football365 added that Fabrizio Romano revealed details of Richarlison’s proposed move to Trabzonspor, including that Spurs rejected two bids worth £15m and £20m and that Romano said: 'Richarlison has agreed to join Trabzonspor with salary agreed'.
TSN reported that Tottenham officially registered its 2026-2027 Premier League squad on Thursday and Richarlison’s name was nowhere to be found, while also stating that a move back to Everton did not materialize.
