Drones Over Moscow

Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow overnight, and Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air defenses intercepted 613 drones that were flying toward the Moscow region over 10 hours.

Sobyanin also said 231 drones were destroyed as they approached the capital directly, while Russian air defense units began repelling the attack before 10:30 p.m. local time.

Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on flights at three of the region's four major airports, Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky.

Russian air defense systems intercepted a record 1,214 Ukrainian drones across the country during the overnight air barrage, surpassing the previous record set on Sept. 20.

Talks Tied to Middle East

Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said the date of the next round of trilateral talks to resolve the Ukraine war depends on the Middle East conflict, and he said Moscow had not yet proposed a specific date. Ushakov also denied any discussions about European negotiators participating, saying, "there is no talk at all about this," in response to statements by British, German, and French leaders. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope of holding the meeting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, between November 6 and 10.

The Kremlin official emphasized that the current situation in the Middle East "does not simply allow" holding the talks in the near future. Trump told reporters, "A very soon meeting will be arranged, and I think a great deal of progress can be made" regarding diplomatic efforts to end the war.

Rail Strikes and Logistics

Ukrainian drones struck more than 100 Russian trains used for military logistics, including fuel transportation, as Ukraine intensified attacks on railway supply routes supporting Moscow's frontline forces. Azov said the strikes disabled locomotives, fuel tank cars, and other railway equipment used to support Russian military operations in occupied eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian drone operations reached railway junctions in Russian-occupied Volnovakha, Debaltseve, Yasynuvata, Yenakiieve, and Dovzhanske.

Azov credited the Come Back Alive Foundation and individual donors for providing 440 Starlink Mini satellite communication terminals to help Ukrainian drone units maintain communications during operations far from their positions. Russia was placed on emergency lockdown overnight and claimed it had downed 1,214 Ukrainian drones stretching from Moscow all the way to the Urals.
