In a fresh update on the channel, Akua fumed: “The Budget was totally unremarkable. I was actually in the Houses of Parliament to watch it today, and I fell asleep on my fiancé’s shoulder – it was that dull. There was one rather embarrassing gaffe from the Chancellor.” The footage cut away to Healey saying in the Commons: “This week my right honourable friend the Energy Secretary opposed… er, approved the Jackdaw gas field,” with plenty of laughter from sitting MPs.

But the move came under fire from climate campaigners. Akua continued in her rant: “Of course, it wouldn’t have been a Labour Budget without hammering savers and landlords.” Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT Healey was heard explaining: “I’m increasing the rates on tax on income from property and savings by a further two percentage points from April 2027.”

He reversed one of Labour’s worst policies, the most ridiculous thing that stopped people from saving – he reversed the cash ISA limit.” He explained the tax-free limit will remain at £20,000 “for people of all ages”.
Akua continued: “But of course Healey didn’t forget the handouts for Benefits Street. He set aside £5.5billion to upgrade benefits paid to 10million people by 3.5%, in line with inflation. And welfare system reform was kicked down the road.” GB News Nana Akua John Healey Labour Party Share Article Share Article Facebook X LinkedIn Reddit Bluesky Email Copy Link Link copied Add us as preferred source Comments
