On Saturday, Kuwait's military said that its air defenses intercepted drone attacks from Iran. The Gulf state has been a target of Iranian retaliation in response to US military actions in the region since the war began in late February. Iran has previously launched attacks against locations linked to the United States within that country as a way of responding to American strikes. On Friday, Tehran claimed that it had carried out an attack on a US military base there, signaling its willingness to retaliate directly against American interests and highlighting the risk of the conflict spreading further across the region.
