About this analysis

Reuters reports the government's pledge of a further £432 million to end rough sleeping, attributing the announcement to the government, Andy Burnham and John Healey. The figure comes with its currency conversion and the period it covers. Nothing in the piece misleads its reader.

What it gets right

  • “Britain's government said on Sunday it would”

The pledge is reported as the government's statement, not as something already done.

  • “to run until the scheduled ‌end of parliament in 2029”

The figure comes with the period it covers, so a reader does not take a multi-year total as a single year's spending.
