Israeli Attacks Kill at Least Three Palestinians in Gaza, Including a Woman and Two Former Prisoners

Israeli attacks in Gaza killed at least three Palestinians in Gaza on Thursday as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal. The Anadolu Agency reported that Israeli shelling hit a tent northwest of Gaza City , killing a woman, identified as Ahlam Mubarak, and injuring her husband and two children. A medical source told Anadolu that the husband’s condition was serious. Later in the day, an Israeli strike hit a vehicle in Gaza City, killing two Palestinians, identified as Hussam Abu al-Atta and Majdi al-Ayyoubi. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA , they were previously held in Israeli prisons, which have become notorious for horrendous living conditions , torture, sexual abuse, and food deprivation. Footage of the aftermath of the Israeli strike on a car in Gaza City (Anadolu Agency via Reuters Connect) Being held in an Israeli prison doesn’t mean that the two men were affiliated with Hamas or other militant groups, since the IDF frequently detains civilians. A report from 972 Magazine published last year revealed that just one in four Palestinians detained in Gaza since October 7, 2023, were identified by the IDF as militants. According to the WAFA report, al-Ayyoubi’s wife, son, and mother were killed by the IDF at the start of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza. Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Thursday that over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces killed at least four Palestinians and wounded 28. Since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed nearly one year ago on October 9, 2025, the IDF has killed 1,471 Palestinians in Gaza and has wounded 5,189. The US has continued to back Israel’s attacks in Gaza despite President Trump and the so-called Board of Peace recently announcing that Hamas had agreed to a US-proposed disarmament deal, a potential agreement that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected.
