Araghchi said international law does not permit countries to impose transit tolls on ships passing through the strategic waterway. However, he indicated that Iran is collecting what it describes as service fees from vessels operating in the area, according to the report. He also said Iranian forces would continue to intervene in the Strait of Hormuz when necessary, Tasnim reported.
