He said there were details that “ought to remain classified” but admitted that China and Russia were “enabling some of the things Iran is doing”. Trump said China’s President Xi had also promised that “he would not, under any circumstances, give or sell Weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran”. But he warned: “If they did, it would be very bad for them — Certainly not in their best interests.” Speaking to reporters later at the White House, Trump said he trusted both leaders. “I don’t know that they’re enabling (Iran),” Trump said. “I think I trust them.” Sources said US intelligence officials have not yet reached firm conclusions about Putin’s potential involvement in Iranian attacks on CIA facilities. They said the precision of the hits and Russia’s broader tech support for the regime suggested Kremlin involvement. Iran’s top officials showed no interest in the proposal, according to the New York Times. The terms of the truce remain unclear, but Iranian officials described it as the “only offer on the table” and a “temporary deal” . It comes as Trump warned he was seriously considering restarting major combat operations against the rogue nation after almost two weeks of renewed strikes. “I am considering a massive attack. We are all set for it.” Asked whether any operation would be carried out alongside Israel , Trump said the country “would join in two minutes if I ask them to”.
