In clips filmed secretly during the Tory Party Conference in 2022, Jack Ross seemingly sets out a list of actions a criminal contact can take. He tells an undercover reporter: ‘They can just kick the f*** out of someone, and that’s a certain amount. ‘They can start cutting people’s faces up, that’s another amount. They can stab someone, they can shoot someone, they can kill someone.’ The footage features in a documentary from news channel Al Jazeera, which investigates links between the British right-wing and a Glasgow-based violent criminal. Apparently referring to his contacts, Ross says in the video: ‘They’ll get someone to drive down from Scotland, or they’ve got locals in London who can help you out as well.’ In a separate clip, Ross appears to be willing to arrange a meeting between the undercover journalist and the criminal contact to help deal with a problem in a fictitious family business. When the contact meets the Al Jazeera reporter in a London hotel, he appears to set out how to cover up a murder with a car by pretending it was a case of drink driving and seems to suggest he has done it before. Meanwhile, the Tories confirmed Ross’s membership of the party had been suspended while an investigation takes place. As the CEO of Turning Point UK, Ross has been one of the most prominent figures in the British right-wing youth movement. A video released by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch last year showed her meeting Ross alongside other TPUK activists to discuss Charlie Kirk and his legacy. The former Tory council candidate has also been pictured with Boris Johnson, James Cleverly and Jacob Rees-Mogg. Al Jazeera said Ross denied the allegations made in the documentary ‘completely’, saying the suggestions he made to the undercover journalist were not to be taken seriously. A spokesperson for the Conservative Party said: ‘Mr Ross’s membership of the Conservative Party has been suspended with immediate effect pending an investigation. ‘We cannot comment further while the investigation is ongoing.’ A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘We’re aware of the documentary. It will be reviewed and assessed for any criminality.’ Jack Ross was approached for comment through Turning Point UK. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at [email protected].
