Three employees of the Islamic University were also killed in an Israeli bombing on campus last month. The ministry further reported that more than 97 percent of schools and universities in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed by Israeli attacks. The remaining educational institutions and alternative learning facilities continue to face the threat of further attacks and damage, it added. Elsewhere, Gaza's Ministry of Interior reported an Israeli air strike targeting police officers and security personnel in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

Several people were killed and wounded, the ministry said, without providing a final death toll. Violations of ceasefire The attacks come as Israel continues to violate the October 2025 ceasefire in Gaza. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces have killed nearly 1,600 Palestinians since the ceasefire came into effect, including more than 340 children. A further 5,700 people have been wounded. The overall Palestinian death toll since the genocide began in October 2023 has reached at least 74,600, according to the ministry. Thousands more people remain missing or buried under the rubble. Israeli authorities have also continued to impose tight restrictions on the entry of aid and goods into Gaza.

An average of just 200 trucks have been allowed into the territory each day, well below the agreed 600 and the estimated minimum required to meet Gaza's needs. According to Gaza's Government Media Office, Israeli forces have committed 5,989 violations of the ceasefire since it took effect on 11 October 2025. These include air strikes, shootings, home demolitions, raids and arbitrary arrests. Copyright © 2014 - 2026 . Middle East Eye. All rights reserved.

About this analysis

Middle East Eye reports that Israeli forces killed 19 Palestinians in Gaza over three days, including people killed in strikes on a displacement camp and at a university in Khan Younis. It names Israel as the actor throughout, attributes every figure to its source and places the killings within Israel's continuing violations of the October 2025 ceasefire and its genocide. Nothing in it misleads the reader.

What it gets right

  • “Israeli forces kill 19 Palestinians”

The headline names who did the killing and uses the word kill, and the figure matches the ministry's count in the body.

  • “after Israeli forces bombed the displacement camp where he was staying”

Where a man dies of his wounds, the article still names who bombed him and where, so the death is not written as one without an actor.

  • “intended to halt Israel's genocide”

The article names the genocide as fact in its own voice, in line with the documented record, rather than as an allegation.
