Iran claims dramatic capture of US submarine near the Strait of Hormuz

A high-tech unmanned underwater US Army submarine has been captured by Iran near the Strait of Hormuz, the country's revolutionary guard has claimed. The announcement was made by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC Navy) who said the submarine was taken "as a prize of war". IRGC Navy said: "Dear Iranian people, with the special grace of God Almighty, the warriors of the Revolutionary Guard Navy trapped one of the most modern, intelligent, unmanned submarines of the terrorist US army at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz in a complex intelligence and operational mastermind operation at dawn today. "This smart sub-surface vessel features the latest technology in the sub-surface field in the world , and was delivered to the US terrorist army fleet in 2025."
