Otzma Yehudit places English-speaking public figure Yishai Fleisher at twelfth spot on Knesset list

Yishai Fleisher, the international spokesman for the Jewish community of Hebron, was given the twelfth spot in the Otzma Yehudit party list announced on Monday.Fleisher, who was raised in the United States and is a member of the Efrat Local Council, is a widely recognized English-speaking voice for Israel abroad, with his YouTube channel having more than 300,000 subscribers."I'm excited. This is a big moment. You are a man of action, a man of advocacy, and an important voice for Israel around the world. I'm proud that you're joining our Otzma Yehudit list," said Otzma Yehudit leader and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in a statement."It is a privilege and an opportunity to work alongside the Otzma Yehudit team on behalf of the Jewish people: to strengthen the State, to strengthen the connection of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, and to bring this message to Jews and lovers of Israel around the world," said Fleisher.Born in Israel, raised in the USFleisher was born in Israel to parents who escaped the Soviet Union, while he spent almost half of his life in the United States, where he was raised.He speaks Russian, Hebrew, and English; served in the IDF as a paratrooper; and graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York.While now dedicated to politics, his job as the Hebron's international spokesman allowed him to show the Jewish community living in the West Bank city to visitors, journalists, public officials, and delegations.
