The occupation is missing from a story about governing it, one side gets far more space, and the politician's record is left out.

Trump endorses Netanyahu ahead of Israel's elections: 'Will never let you down'

President Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday ahead of next week’s elections. Trump hailed Netanyahu, whose party is facing a tough race, as the right partner for the US to have against Iran as he called for Israelis to flock to the polls to support the prime minister. “Bibi Netanyahu has been a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran, with its 51 year old chant, ‘Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the Little Satan and the Big Satan,’” Trump wrote on Truth Social . 4 President Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday ahead of next week’s elections. It would have been only a question of time until Iran would have put that ominous phrase into effect, but they have been systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially, and unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job,” he added. Bibi Netanyahu has been Strong, Brave, and Brilliant in the face of tremendous opposition, including that coming from even Israel, itself. “Despite all of that, he has endured and, in fact, he has thrived! I have watched Bibi under the most trying of times. Normal men or women in such situations would have wilted under the pressure — But Bibi did not wilt, he actually got stronger, and maintains that same Strength today. 4 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks during the state memorial ceremony for the third anniversary of the October 7 attack, at Mount Herzl military cemetery in Jerusalem, on Oct. 5, 2026. Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel. BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” Trump concluded. Israeli elections will be held on Oct. 27 to decide who sits on its 120-seat parliament — and who will ultimately be prime minister. Netanyahu’s Likud Party is running behind former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar Party in four major Israeli polls from Maariv, Channel 12 and 13, and Kan News. Netanyahu’s popularity has waned in Israel due to the conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, as well as his ongoing corruption trial and backlash over the failings of the government during the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attack. Neither the Likud or the Yashar Party, however, is expected to get the 61 seats necessary for a majority, which means smaller factions in the Kissnet will likely become decisive factors in the race.
