Poll: Eisenkot Bloc Holds at 54 Seats as Hard-Line Ex-General's Party Falls Short
Israeli ex-general Ofer Winter's far-right Amcha Yisrael party again failed to cross the electoral threshold in a Channel 12 News poll published Monday evening, receiving the equivalent of 1.8 seats in the Knesset. The party also fell short of the threshold in the channel's previous poll.
The poll gives the bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot 54 seats, unchanged from the previous survey, and the bloc led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 49 seats. The Arab parties would win a combined 13 seats, while the Reservists party led by Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha would receive four.
The poll shows that parties opposed to Netanyahu would hold a combined 67 seats. However, some parties in Eisenkot's bloc refuse to cooperate with the Arab parties, leaving the bloc without a parliamentary majority.
Eisenkot's Yashar party remains the largest, with 23 seats, followed by Likud with 20, down one from the previous poll. Together remains at 13 seats, while Yisrael Beiteinu and the Democrats each receive nine.
The Joint List, Otzma Yehudit and Shas each win eight seats, with Otzma Yehudit and Shas gaining one seat apiece. United Torah Judaism loses one seat, falling to seven, while Religious Zionism remains at six. The United Arab List receives five seats.
Amcha Yisrael, with 1.8 percent, and Blue and White, with 0.9 percent, would both fall short of the 3.25 percent electoral threshold.
The poll was conducted by the Midgam Institute, headed by Mano Geva, in cooperation with iPanel, among 509 respondents surveyed online and by telephone. The margin of error was 4.4 percentage points.
