Kemi lets rip at Farage over £5m 'gift' as she turns her guns on Reform with blast at Tory defector 'drama queens' Jenrick and Braverman

Kemi Badenoch tore into Nigel Farage and Reform today as she vowed never to join forces with them to run the country. The Conservative leader attacked Mr Farage over the financial scandals that have engulfed him and his party this year as she addressed the party's annual conference in Birmingham . He is being investigated over a £5million payment from billionaire donor Chris Harborne, which he has said was a non-political gift, and other senior figures are also being investigated. Mrs Badenoch was repeatedly given standing ovations as she also attacked ex-Tory defectors to Reform including Robert Jenrick and Suella Braverman , saying her party had enjoyed 'an export boom in drama queens'. She went on: 'Farage's fishy £5m personal gift. Has anyone here ever received a £5m gift? I haven't. 'The brown envelopes they boasted about on camera. Just when you think Reform couldn't get any weirder, there's a convicted fraudster who calls himself ''Posh George'' and calls Nigel Farage ''Daddy''. 'The circus goes on and on, and it will never stop because this is who Reform politicians are. The Conservative leader attacked Mr Farage over the financial scandals that have engulfed him this year as she addressed the party's annual conference in Birmingham He is being investigated over a £5m payment from billionaire donor Chris Harborne, which he has said was a non-political gift 'So, to those who say ''unite the right'', we are not uniting with that. People deserve better and we are going to give them better than that: character, conduct, and standards matter.' Mr Farage responded to her speech by saying she had 'no vision for the country'. It came as Reform cleared senior staff of wrongdoing over a sting in which they discussed how to disguise foreign donations. The Channel 4 report, in which undercover journalists posing as an American donor and his son filmed senior Reform figures, overshadowed the party's conference in Birmingham last month. It also saw long-time Mr Farage aide Dan Jukes and the party's head of policy James Orr suspended, pending the outcome of Reform's own investigation. A 27-page report published on Wednesday found the two senior figures had 'said things that were wrong, careless and in one instance untrue' but found 'no evidence' that either man had done anything to facilitate an illegal donation. It concluded the proposed £500,000 funding from a foreign source discussed in Channel 4's report 'did not take place' and Reform had not commissioned polls paid for by undercover reporters. Mr Farage has also faced questions about support provided by George Cottrell, a long-term ally known as 'Posh George' who was once convicted of fraud in the US. Mr Cottrell reportedly recruited and paid three staff to work on Mr Farage’s social media before the general election, and has continued to allow him to use a five-storey Georgian property he rented near Buckingham Palace. His mother Fiona Cottrell has meanwhile donated large sums to Reform on several occasions, with several media outlets having questioned the ultimate source of the cash.
