Hendel and Zelekha cross threshold as Eisenkot bloc loses ground

A poll published Sunday evening by Israel's Kan public broadcaster projects that the Reservists' Party, led by Yoaz Hendel, will cross the electoral threshold following the addition of former accountant general Yaron Zelekha. The party is projected to win four mandates, the same number as Ofer Winter's Amcha Yisrael party. The Netanyahu bloc maintains its strength from last week at 52 mandates, excluding Hendel and Zelekha. Meanwhile, the bloc of parties opposed to Netanyahu, led by Gadi Eisenkot, loses four mandates and is projected to win 51. Yashar and Likud each lose one mandate compared with last week's poll, with 23 and 20 mandates, respectively. The Together party, led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid , also loses one mandate and is projected to win 13. The Joint List falls to seven, while Ra'am rises to six. The Democrats lose one mandate and are projected to win eight, the same number as United Torah Judaism. Yisrael Beiteinu, Otzma Yehudit and Shas each win seven mandates. The Religious Zionism Party, led by Bezalel Smotrich, gains one mandate following its merger with Moshe Feiglin and is projected to win six. The Unity party, led by Gilad Erdan, which had been included in polls in recent weeks, has withdrawn from the race. The poll was conducted by the Kantar Institute, headed by Dudu Hassid, among 551 respondents. The margin of error is 4.2 percent.
