Israeli Attacks in Gaza Kill at Least Four Palestinians

No framing issues found.

Israeli attacks across Gaza on Tuesday killed at least four Palestinians as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that one Israeli strike hit an apartment building in Gaza City, killing a man and his wife, identified as Akram Yassin and Dina Abu Baker. Photos from Gaza show the couple’s daughter, 10-year-old Dima Yassin, mourning her parents. Palestinian girl Dina Yassin bids farewell to her father and mother alongside family members at the mortuary of al-Shifa Hospital in central Gaza City on October 20, 2026 (ZUMA Press Wire via Reuters Connect) “We’re supposed to be in a ceasefire period, but honestly, we are not seeing a ceasefire or anything.

The war is still going on, assassinations are continuing, and the shelling ‌has not stopped,” Mahmound Yassin, brother of Akram, told Reuters . In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the Qizan al-Najar neighborhood. Later in the day, WAFA reported that another Palestinian was killed by Israeli shelling in northern Gaza, bringing the day’s death toll to at least four. Tuesday’s attacks came a day after the World Food Program announced it was “drastically reducing” aid to Gaza , cutting off a vital supply of food for 500,000 Palestinians.

Israel has said that it will resume allowing the shipment of commercial goods into Gaza after cutting them off last week, but it remains unclear if the shipments have actually restarted or if they will come close to previous levels. Gaza’s Health Ministry didn’t release a death toll update on Tuesday but said on Monday that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 1,522 Palestinians and wounded 5,421.

The US continues backing Israel’s attacks despite President Trump announcing in July that Hamas had agreed to a US-proposed disarmament deal, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected. If you liked this article, please support Antiwar.com. We are 100% reader-supported.

About this analysis

Antiwar.com reports that Israeli attacks across Gaza killed at least four Palestinians on Tuesday, during the so-called ceasefire. It names Israel as the actor in every killing, names the couple killed in Gaza City, and gives the Health Ministry's ceasefire-period toll without hedging. Nothing in it misleads the reader.

What it gets right

  • “Israeli attacks across Gaza on Tuesday killed at least four Palestinians”

The opening sentence names who did the killing and uses the word killed, with no passive voice and no softening.

  • “killing a man and his wife, identified as Akram Yassin and Dina Abu Baker”

The article gives the Palestinian dead their names, not only a number, and says plainly that an Israeli strike killed them.

  • “a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed by Israeli forces”

It names Israeli forces as the shooters instead of writing that a boy was killed by gunfire with no one firing it.
