Iran launched attacks against US forces stationed in Jordan on Monday, it has been reported, just hours after US forces struck two Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Jordan's military said it intercepted eight missiles on Monday, shortly after Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced they had targeted US military positions in the US-allied kingdom. The Iranian strikes came after the US military attacked two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island, according to a US official cited by Axios. There will be a response." He said the missiles, except one were intercepted by US Air Defence systems. One missile was identified as not going to hit anything significant, and they allowed it to pass through the air space. This comes as the President said, the Iranians want to meet so badly, but he doesn't know if you can count on them to make a deal, but added that the current US sanctions against the Iranian regime are kicking in strongly. In his latest post on Truth Social, Mr Trump wrote: " Iran is officially a Failed Nation. IT IS DEAD! They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no currency, they are not paying their soldiers or police, Inflation is at 300%, and their leadership is in total disarray and incapable of properly representing the country. They must be tried for war crimes against humanity!), and a good line of “BULLS***.” Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP." The US has reiterated its warning against the placement of mines in the strategically vital shipping lane, while Tehran has continued to maintain its right to regulate maritime traffic through the strait. The latest exchange signals a further escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran over the key waterway, which serves as a crucial route for global oil shipments. The standoff comes amid an intensifying conflict that began when the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28, prompting retaliatory attacks by Tehran against Israel and Gulf states hosting US military bases. The conflict has now entered its seventh month, with no sign of easing hostilities.
