Israel kills 6 Palestinians in Gaza strikes despite ceasefire

No framing issues found.

Six Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in separate Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to local sources. At least four government employees were killed in an Israeli strike that targeted the Economy Ministry post in the al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the Gaza government media office said. It added that 30 others were wounded in the attack, including six in critical condition.

The government media office described the attack on the post as “a new crime and a horrific massacre” targeting civilian public-sector employees. It said targeting government teams and civilian public employees was part of an “organized campaign by Israel to undermine government institutions and push the territory toward chaos and lawlessness.” Separately, two Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting a civilian vehicle near the entrance to the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, a medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said.

The source said the bodies of two Palestinians and several wounded people were brought to the hospital after the strike on Salah al-Din Street. Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward homes and tents sheltering displaced people in areas northeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, alongside intense artillery shelling, according to local sources. Israeli artillery also shelled northeastern areas of Gaza City, while military vehicles fired toward tents sheltering displaced people in the Halawa camp area east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, the sources said.

The attacks come amid daily Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, according to the statement. Israeli violations of the agreement had killed 1,574 Palestinians and wounded 5,687 others, the office said. Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000, while causing widespread destruction affecting about 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.

About this analysis

Anadolu reports six Palestinians killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza, including four government employees at an Economy Ministry post in al-Mawasi and two people in a drone strike on a car near Maghazi camp. It names Israel as the actor in every attack, uses the word killed throughout, and places the deaths within the continuing killing since the October 2025 ceasefire and the toll since October 2023. Nothing in it misleads the reader.

What it gets right

  • “Israel kills 6 Palestinians in Gaza strikes despite ceasefire”

The headline names the actor and uses the plain verb kills, with no passive construction or softened wording.

  • “two Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting a civilian vehicle”

It says who carried out the strike and what it hit, a civilian vehicle, rather than leaving the strike without an actor or a target.

  • “Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000”

It gives the scale of Israel's killing since October 2023 and names Israel as responsible, so the day's deaths are not read as isolated incidents.
