Two Palestinians, a child and a woman, were killed by Israeli fire in the central and southern Gaza Strip on Monday, while a third Palestinian died from wounds sustained days earlier and 11 others were injured in Israeli shelling and gunfire. The attacks came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in force since Oct. 10, 2025. In the latest development, Fida Khader Toutah, 31, was killed after being shot in the head by Israeli military vehicles near the Abu Madin center east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, a medical source told Anadolu. In southern Gaza, a Palestinian child was killed after being shot in the chest when Israeli military vehicles opened fire on displacement tents in the Mawasi Rafah area, according to the same source. In northern Gaza, Mohsen Ahmed Bahja, 24, from the Jabalia al-Nazla area, died from injuries sustained days earlier when he was shot by an Israeli quadcopter drone while inside his tent. In other developments in central Gaza, a medical source at Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital told Anadolu that a child was admitted with moderate injuries after Israeli forces opened fire on displacement tents between the Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps. Two others were injured when an artillery shell struck a home belonging to the Abu al-Rous family in the Bureij refugee camp. A fire broke out in the home after the artillery shelling, witnesses told Anadolu. Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire on displacement tents on Salah al-Din Street north of Bureij camp, alongside artillery shelling around the area. In southern Gaza, a medical source said eight Palestinians sustained varying injuries in Israeli gunfire and artillery shelling targeting central and southern Khan Younis. Four Palestinians, including a woman, were shot when Israeli forces opened fire on the Hamad City residential area north of Khan Younis. Two others were injured by shrapnel from an artillery shell in the Al-Amal neighborhood in central Khan Younis. Two more Palestinians, including a woman, were injured in Israeli shelling and gunfire in the Al-Sinaa and Qizan Abu Rashwan areas. In northern Gaza, Israeli warships opened heavy machine-gun fire and fired shells along the Gaza City coast, which continued for around two hours, witnesses said. Meanwhile, Israeli quadcopter drones dropped several bombs near an Israeli army deployment area east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, according to witnesses. Israeli artillery also fired sporadic shells east of Jabalia town in the northern Gaza Strip. Violations of the 2025 ceasefire have killed at least 1,393 Palestinians and injured 4,822 others as of Sunday, according to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000 others in its genocide in Gaza, while destroying around 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
