Israeli wounded in West Bank terror stabbing manhunt underway

An Israeli man in his 20s was moderately wounded Sunday morning in a stabbing attack near the Palestinian village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley, after apparently stopping to shop in the village. The attacker fled the scene, prompting a large-scale manhunt by IDF and police forces. The military said troops had imposed roadblocks around the village and across the surrounding area as the search continued. Footage from the scene showed the moments surrounding the attack. The stabbing was reported to Magen David Adom’s emergency hotline at 9:18 a.m. The wounded man was brought to meet MDA teams near the village and was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. MDA medic Gal Shani said the victim was fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. “We received a report about a man who had been stabbed,” Shani said. “We met the wounded man, who was fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. We provided medical treatment and evacuated him in an intensive care ambulance to the hospital in moderate condition and fully conscious.” The IDF said it was maintaining continuous contact with residents and local security officials during the search.
