Trump says US ‘hopefully’ nearing end of war with Iran A U.N. fact-finding mission reported that U.S. forces likely committed war crimes in February during two strikes in Iran, including one on a school that killed about 120 children. The U.N. report found a second U.S. strike on a sports center in Lamerd was indiscriminate, though U.S. Central Command denied carrying out strikes in that city. The U.N. report also determined that Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity while cracking down on anti-government protests. The report detailing the findings will be submitted to the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. Donald Trump stated the U.S. is hopefully near the end of the war with Iran, despite Iranian officials insisting peace talks require meeting their conditions first.
