Palestinian killed, injured in Israeli strikes, gunfire in Gaza
A Palestinian was killed and several injured in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, as Israel continued to violate a ceasefire agreement that took effect Oct. 10, 2025. A medical source told Anadolu that a man was killed and others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a gathering of civilians in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood, north of Gaza City. The source did not specify how many were injured or their medical condition. In a separate attack, medical sources told Anadolu that three Palestinians were taken to Al-Shifa Medical Complex after an Israeli drone strike hit an area behind the Al-Abbas police station in western Gaza City. The strike hit near tents sheltering displaced people, injuring the Palestinians, said witnesses. The area is a densely populated part of western Gaza City housing residents and displaced people. Separately, an Israeli drone struck a residential building west of Yarmouk Street in central Gaza City shortly after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning, according to witnesses. In the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, a strike destroyed a home following an Israeli warning, and caused extensive damage to nearby houses, witnesses told Anadolu. A second strike destroyed another home near the Maghazi Services Club. The warnings, issued shortly before the strikes, prompted residents to flee the areas amid fear and confusion. Israeli forces also fired a smoke grenade near the Mazare Saudi roundabout southeast of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Earlier Thursday, a medical source told Anadolu that a Palestinian was moderately injured after Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward tents sheltering displaced people in the Halawa camp, east of the town of Jabalia in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out demolitions targeting blocks of evacuated residential buildings in areas where its forces are deployed, including the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, east of Gaza City, and Rafah in the south. Palestinians told Anadolu that they heard loud explosions overnight and early Thursday caused by the army detonating explosive-laden vehicles in evacuated residential blocks in the areas. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire toward areas east of the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, and east of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed 1,505 Palestinians and injured 5,332 as of Wednesday, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023, and over 175,000 injured in Gaza in Israel’s genocide, with 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
