The funding will cover medical consultations, mental health care, child blast injury rehabilitation, alongside sanitation and waste management services. The package forms part of £127 million allocated to Palestine under the UK's Official Development Assistance budget for 2026/27. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband urged Israel to lift its unacceptable restrictions on Gaza and allow unhindered access to humanitarian aid. The decision comes amid diplomatic friction following Israeli retaliatory measures against recent UK trade restrictions on West Bank settlements.
