Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said that the regime had reached an agreement with Oman for commercial shipping in the strait. But a tug-of-war for control that has since followed has caused global fuel prices to skyrocket. Trump said he is not in a rush to bring the war with Iran to a close, while confirming he had a backchannel to communicate with the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. I said it over and over again!” It comes as one of Iran’s top military chiefs has threatened to break Trump’s legs after he laid territorial claim to the strait.
