At Likud campaign event, Netanyahu vows to 'take land instead of ...
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kicks off his Likud party’s election campaign with a speech focused on security concerns.
Addressing supporters in Tel Aviv, he insists that he and his party “are the only ones who can guarantee Israel’s security.”
He goes on to list Israeli military operations that have taken place in Iran, Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip since 2023: “The mission must be completed, we must bring down the Iranian regime and totally destroy Hezbollah and Hamas.”
He also accuses his rivals of wanting to make “territorial concessions” to ensure security, and points to Israeli troops in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza as evidence that “we take land instead of giving it.”
The premier repeats his refrain that he “has changed the face of the Middle East,” vowing to change it yet again, without offering specifics.
Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
