An investigative resource published on the UK watchdog GnasherJew website has exposed approximately 40 medical professionals across the UK's National Health Service (NHS) .GnasherJew is a team of Jewish online investigators who identify, expose, and report on antisemitism, Holocaust denial, and extremism.

The watchdog group's page of Antisemitic Healthcare Professionals states, “Over recent years, we have exposed doctors, healthcare providers, and other medical professionals for posting antisemitic content on social media, supporting terrorism, and discriminating against Jewish people.”A dossier compiled by @GnasherJew has exposed around 40 NHS medics making grotesque antisemitic comments. Despite our vital investigation uncovering these shocking details, complaints to the GMC have faced little to no action.

The page also includes a dossier on Dr. Nizar Ali Mhani, an NHS consultant orthodontist and Cardiff University honorary clinical lecturer. In the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, Dr. Mhani posted material comparing the actions of Hamas to the Jewish fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, writing, “Would anyone have the audacity or idiocy to ever suggest that the brave Jews who resisted the Warsaw Ghetto genocide used civilians as human shields because they used bunkers and tunnels?”Another case involves Dr. Asaad Nemer Shamallakh, an anesthetist practicing within the Swansea Bay University Health Board.Following the outbreak of the war, Dr. Shamallakh published a Facebook post on October 8, 2023, mourning family members, including his uncle and multiple children and women, .

Writing, “Yes, the Zionist succeeded in gouging out our eyes with them, but he ignited fire and a hell in our souls that will not calm down until we are victorious, take revenge and regain our freedom and our homeland,” he added that after initial grief, “infants, girls and women from the Shamallakh family were the victims of the pigs today... and then you ask why we hate them and fight them with our nails and teeth? Yes, tears fell profusely, and hearts were broken, but we soon returned to the battlefield.”In another October 8, 2023 post, set against a red background, Dr. Shamallakh wrote: “I swear that the battles of Badr, Uhud and Khandaq, militarily speaking, are a drop in the ocean of the Palestinian battle now.

You are the Companions of the Prophet.”In another post that day, Dr. Shamallakh shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a rocket and star background with the caption, “Look.... watch... what does the Palestinian do .”The dossiers on the page capture broader trends among the identified practitioners, ranging from the propagation of 9/11 conspiracy theories and Holocaust inversion to the open dismissal of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism.GMC took 'little to no action' on reports, GnasherJew tells 'Post'GnasherJew said in a statement to The Jerusalem Post that, “The GMC has taken little to no action on our reports, and its reported 19% regulatory action rate in antisemitism cases does nothing to reassure us.

In our opinion, this failure to act tolerates and encourages antisemitism rather than confronting it.”“In the cases of Dr. Nizar Ali Mhani, Dr. Mazin Fageir and Dr. Asaad Nemer Shamallakh, no action appears to have been taken despite the material documented in our investigations, which includes gross antisemitism, some at neo-Nazi levels, and some support for terrorism. Jewish patients deserve to feel safe in the British Healthcare system; instead, the GMC appears to be playing Russian Roulette with their safety,” GnasherJew told the Post.A General Medical Council (GMC) spokesperson said, “We are very clear that antisemitism is completely unacceptable.

Doctors and patients should have confidence that if a concern is raised with the GMC, it will be dealt with appropriately. We can and will investigate serious concerns that suggest patient safety or the public's confidence in doctors may be at risk. Where complaints regarding antisemitism have been raised with us, approximately 19.5% of doctors have faced regulatory action. This includes two doctors who have been erased from the medical register, one who received a suspension, and two who were issued warnings.”A spokesperson for the Royal Free London said, “Our priority is to ensure that everyone in our care, and everyone who works for us, feels safe, respected and valued, regardless of their background or beliefs.

The Royal Free London should be a place where everyone is treated equally, with fairness, care, compassion and kindness. We expect that everybody who works here ensures that any content they publish online or elsewhere is consistent with the trust's values and standards.”

These revelations come amid a widening scrutiny over allegations of antisemitism within Britain's healthcare sector. Further light was cast on the issue by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) in its recent documentary, Malignant: Antisemitism in the NHS, which compiled harrowing testimonies from Jewish patients and medical personnel detailing direct hostility within hospitals.Among the incidents featured in the documentary is an account by Shelley Lipman, a registered nurse in Cambridge, who discovered a colleague performing a Nazi salute next to a patient's bed after discussing her Jewish identity.

The film also documented testimony from Shaul Freeman, a patient in Sheffield who alleged that a consultant surgeon made antisemitic remarks—including claiming that Jews shoot children “for fun”—while actively performing surgery to remove a tumor from his forehead. He sells “emotional fitness”. His posts show angry abuse, an antisemitic slur and “false flag” conspiracy claims about attacks on Jewish targets. Meet BACP-accredited therapist James Hawes.

The Post contacted the General Dental Council (GDC), but Swansea Bay University Health Board did not respond to an email request for comment by publication time.Inquiries regarding the allegations were submitted to the relevant NHS trust press offices and regulatory bodies, as well as the GDC for forwarding to the clinicians named; however, no response or comment was received by publication time.

What we found (4)

The Jerusalem Post turns an activist group's dossier into its own finding. It calls some 40 NHS workers antisemitic in its headline and opening sentence, when the body describes only three and attributes the charges to GnasherJew. It also calls the group a 'watchdog', a title its own description of the group does not support.

  1. Headline goes beyond the article

    Serious

“exposes 40 antisemitic healthcare workers in NHS”

    Why this matters
The headline says GnasherJew 'exposes 40 antisemitic healthcare workers', putting the group's label on 40 people as established fact.
    The impression it gives
That 40 NHS workers have been shown to be antisemitic.
    The context
The body reports this as the group's own page and dossiers. It describes the posts of only three doctors. The rest of the 40 are never named or shown. No regulator has upheld these charges, and the GMC is quoted only on its general record.

    Written straight

Activist group GnasherJew says it has compiled dossiers on about 40 NHS workers it accuses of antisemitic posts.

  2. States one side's claim as fact

    Serious

“who have used their public social media platforms to disseminate antisemitic rhetoric, propagate conspiracy theories, and celebrate violence against civilians”

    Why this matters
In its own voice the Post says the 40 people 'have used' social media to spread antisemitism, conspiracy theories and celebrate violence.
    The impression it gives
That all 40 have done these things, as checked fact.
    The context
This is GnasherJew's characterisation of its own dossier. The article examines three cases and gives no account of the others. The GMC has not upheld the complaints, and the named clinicians gave no response.

    Show it in the article

    Written straight

GnasherJew says the roughly 40 people in its dossier posted antisemitic material, conspiracy theories and praise for violence; the Post examined three of the cases.

  3. Hides who did it

    Minor

“who he wrote were killed in a missile strike”

    Why this matters
The Post says Dr Shamallakh's uncle, children and women of his family were killed 'in a missile strike' that he only 'wrote' about. It names no one who fired it.
    The impression it gives
That the deaths of his relatives are his unverified claim, caused by an unnamed force, and that his anger came from nowhere.
    The context
His own post, quoted in the next sentence, names Israel as the attacker. The strike came on 8 October 2023 in Gaza. The Post leaves the actor out and hedges the deaths of children while presenting his grief as evidence of antisemitism.

  4. Uses a loaded word

    Minor

    “UK antisemitism watchdog GnasherJew”

    Why this matters
The Post calls GnasherJew a 'watchdog', a title that suggests an independent, official monitor.
    The impression it gives
That a neutral oversight body produced the dossier.
    The context
The article itself describes the group as a team of online investigators, an activist campaign that names and reports people.
